DM Bogdan Latecki graduated from the Medical Academy in Łódź. He obtained a second degree specialization by working for 10 years at the Łódź Psychiatric Clinic. He gained professional experience in psychiatric centers and facilities, working, among others, in the Detention Center as an expert witness, in the Toxicology Clinic, at the Academic Clinic, in the Nursing Studies Center, at the Social Help Home, and at the Military Mental Health Counseling Center. He also worked as a doctor in a military unit. He also completed internships in Sexology and Pathology of Interpersonal Relationships in Warsaw. In 1991, he went to South Africa where he worked as a consultant in state hospitals and clinics and, since 1996, in private practice, seeing patients in the office but also continuing their treatment in the hospital. He worked as a "visiting lecturer" at the University of Kwazulu-Natal, in the Faculty of Psychology. His interests include psychotherapy and the philosophy of psychiatry. He completed trainings in Ericksonian psychotherapy and hypnotherapy, ego state psychotherapy, transactional analysis, rational emotive behavioral therapy, and logotherapy. At psychiatric and psychotherapeutic conferences, he presented on topics related to his interests and conducted workshops on psychotherapy. In treatment, he combines a psychotherapeutic and biological approach. The proportions of these methods depend on the patient's diagnosis and needs. He deals, among other things, with couple therapy, the treatment of behavioral and adaptive disorders, emotional disorders of various intensities and etiology, psychoses, sexual disorders, patients with cancer or suffering from chronic systemic diseases, psychosomatic and dissociative disorders, sleep disorders, disorders arising from chronic stress, and marital and partnership relationships.
