Joanna Oprawa-Karwat, MA

I work using transactional analysis, where I trained as part of a 4-year psychotherapy school, and in a humanistic-experiential approach (during a 4-year training at the "Intra" center).

My professional experience was gained at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw, where I supported individuals experiencing various difficulties in the area of mental health. I volunteered in a home hospice, a family emergency service, and the "Good that You Are" Foundation. I regularly participate in training and workshops on psychology and psychotherapy. I work according to the ethical code of the profession and regularly undergo supervision of my work.

A safe and stable therapeutic relationship, based on empathy, authenticity, and unconditional acceptance from the therapist, is, in my view, the most important and effective healing factor. It provides a foundation and ensures a space to explore specific methods and tools tailored to the individual needs of each person. In my work, I use, among other things, focusing, EFT, gestalt techniques, life script work, and elements of the existential approach.
