What is a Psychiatrist – first visit (video consultation)
This is your first online appointment with a psychiatrist. During the session, the doctor takes a detailed history, assesses symptoms and well-being, and proposes a care plan. If clinically indicated, an e-prescription or e-sick note (e-ZLA) may be issued.
Who it is for
- For people experiencing low mood, anxiety, insomnia, intrusive thoughts, concentration problems, changes in appetite or energy.
- For those after severe stress or life crises, or with suspected depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD/ADD, sleep disorders, or bipolar disorder.
How to book a video consultation
- Select a convenient date and click “Reserve”.
- Go to your cart, choose a payment method, and enter your contact details and email address – you will receive a purchase confirmation and a link for the video call there.
- Once the payment is processed, you will receive an email confirmation with further instructions.
- On the day of the consultation, click the received link, which will activate shortly before the session begins.
- Log in to the video consultation by entering your patient card number (MRN) and password for the full version of Damian Online, or your PESEL number or another identity document.
How to prepare
- Join from a quiet, private place with a stable internet connection, camera, and microphone.
- Have your ID ready, a list of current medications and doses, diagnoses, discharge summaries, and test results (if available).
- Note your key symptoms (since when, what worsens/relieves them), past treatments, and responses to medications.
- If the patient is under 18, ensure a legal guardian is present.
What the consultation looks like
- We will first confirm your identity and consent for an online consultation.
- The psychiatrist will discuss symptoms, sleep, mood, anxiety, energy, stress, substance use, and coexisting conditions.
- Short rating scales/questionnaires may be used to assess mental state.
- At the end, you will receive an initial diagnosis/diagnostic hypothesis and a plan for treatment or further diagnostics (e.g., psychotherapy, tests, consultations).
- If appropriate and legally allowed, we will issue an e-prescription, e-sick note, or referral.
